The programmes in the department are based on the philosophy that are rate of technological development of a nation depends to a great extent on the size, quality, motivation and orientation of its science and engineering workforce. It is clear that the computer is going to play a major role in technological advancement of any nation  and will depend largely the quality and quantity of electronic and computer engineers.
